Learn CPR to save a life:  CPR Awareness Day – Saturday  15th October

10am at the Dayboro Ambulance Station.

RSVP: 12h October 2016

The CPR Awareness Program is a major LAC initiative delivered in partnership with the Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) to teach as many Queenslanders as possible how to conduct life-saving CPR in an emergency.

CPR is an important part of the chain of survival and with most cardiac arrests occurring in the home, it is more likely than not that a family member or someone known to you will require CPR.

The program aims to teach participants how to conduct CPR on an adult, child and baby with the correct rate, rhythm and effort.

It also gives participants an opportunity to practice their learnt skills on a manikin to gain confidence.

The program will also discuss the signs and symptoms of a person experiencing a heart attack and what vital information needs to be relayed to the Emergency Medical Dispatcher when calling Triple Zero (000).

The CPR Awareness Program is free of charge.  A gold coin donation is requested to assist Dayboro LAC with associated costs.

If you or a community group would like to take part in a CPR Awareness course, please contact Cathy Ihm on 0419 783 455 or via email dayborolac@gmail.com.
