Marist 180 Traineeship Graduation and Open: Construction and Conservation and Land Management – Samford Commons/Millen Farm.

RSVP by 7th July, via email to Megan Smith:

As part of the Construction Certificate I Traineeship that Marist 180 is implementing at Samford – Building the Commons – we are hosting an Open Day and Graduation. This is being held in conjunction with an Open Day at Millen Farm where our Conservation and Land Management Traineeship is underway.

This training is proudly funded and supported by the Queensland Government through its Skilling Queenslanders for Work initiative.

The Graduation and Open Day is open to everyone including prospective employers of the trainee’s, local businesses that have supported the program and local community members to come out and see the amazing work that has been completed so far on the community site by the trainees. This is going to be big day for the 30 trainees to showcase the totally awesome work they have completed and still underway – and it is amazing!

You are invited (and your colleagues and friends/family/community members) along to this event so you can see firsthand the work that the trainee’s have completed and have an opportunity to meet them in a different environment. Your support of this program has been invaluable and I would like to formally recognise that.

Please wear enclosed shoes, smother yourself in sunscreen and bring a hat!

There is parking available on site – you can park on the grassed area as you enter the site (clearly signed). We will have cold drinks and a sausage sizzle as well. Please come along at any time during the open day hours and have a look. Formal presentation of Graduation certificates will be at 11:30am. I and the trainees look forward to seeing you on the day.
