Velvet Flare is Paul English. He writes the music and lyrics, sings the vocals, plays the guitars, and some keyboards.
Patrick Kennedy plays piano and keyboards.
Studio recordings to date have involved Slade Gibson writing and playing bass parts, occasional guitar solos and keyboards, and programming drums. Slade has mixed and mastered the songs.
There are 18 recorded songs, 14 of which are mastered. 2 new songs will be recorded in January 2017 and another 2 are currently being written.

The ﬁrst single was ‘6th of June’… that’s 6th of June, 1944.
Set in south-east England, the song’s subject is part of operation Overlord (D-Day) and is about to be sent to Normandy, France. His girlfriend/wife has no contact with him, and she can only wait for him to return.
